Duringthefirsthalfof2026,thecontainerbusinessoftheCompanyshowedgrowthmomentum,anditsbulkcargobusinessmaintainedastablefoundation.TheCompany’sports handledatotalcontainerthroughputof106.78millionTEUs,representingayear-on-yearincreaseof5.5%;bulkcargovolumereached622.03milliontonnes,representingayear-on-yeardecreaseof1.5%.Forthecontainer business, ports in Mainland China handled 84.69 million TEUs, representing ayear-on-yearincreaseof6.9%.PortsinHongKongandTaiwanrecordedacombinedthroughputof2.40millionTEUs,representingayear-on-yeardecreaseof14.7%.Overseasportshandled19.69millionTEUs,representingayear-on-yearincreaseof2.5%.Forthebulkcargobusiness,ports inMainlandChinahandled616.34milliontonnes,representingayear-on-yeardecreaseof1.6%,whileoverseasportshandled5.70milliontonnes,representingayear-on-yearincreaseof18.6%.(2)ImplementationofoperatingplanduringtheReportingPeriod
During the Reporting Period, the Company committed to its strategic goal of becoming a“world-leadingportserviceprovider”,upholdingthe“GlobalPresence”,“LeanManagement”and“InnovativeTransformation”.Itachievedresultsinareassuchashomebaseportdevelopment,overseasexpansion,operationalmanagement,technologicalinnovation,andESGinitiatives,withkeyoperationalperformanceindicatorssecuringsoundgrowth.
① Asforhomebaseportconstruction,theCompanyconsolidateditsregionalfoundationsandenhancedcompetitiveadvantages.TheWestShenzhenPortZonemaintainedanupwardtrendinitscontainerbusiness.EffortstointegratecontainerbusinessresourcesandoptimizethedeploymentintheWestShenzhenPortZonewereundertakeninanorderlymanner,andsteadyprogresswasmadeontheconstructionoftheDachanBayPhaseIIproject.Inoverseashomebaseports,CICTinSriLankamaintaineditsleadingmarketshareincontainerthroughputwithintheportareaandcontinuedtostrengthencooperationwithkeycustomers.HIPGinSriLankaleverageditsregionalstrengthtocontinuouslyenhancecapacityandstreamlineitsbusinessstructure.WithcoordinatedgrowthacrossthecontainerandRoRobusinesssegments,theCompany'soperationsshowedpositivemomentum.
② Regardingoverseasexpansion,theCompanyfocusedonkeyregionsandintensifieditsstrategicdeployment.FocusingonstructuralinvestmentopportunitiesingrowthmarketssuchasSoutheastAsia,LatinAmericaandAfrica,theCompanysteadilyandmethodicallyexpandeditsportfolio of overseas controlled terminals. Concurrently, the Company continued to promoteintegrated synergy between CICT and HIPG in Sri Lanka, strengthening port capacity andachievingefficientresourcesharingandcomplementaryadvantages.TCPinBrazilhasacceleratedprojectssuchasyardexpansion,berthrefurbishmentandgantrycraneupgrades.Meanwhile,NPHinIndonesiahasproceededwithmanagementintegrationtomaintainsmoothbusinessoperations.③ Inrespectofoperationsmanagement,theCompanydeepeneditsleanmanagementandstrengthened top-down empowerment. The Company has laid a solid foundation for valuecreationthroughleanmanagementandempoweredhigh-qualitydevelopmentthroughtop-downcontrolandmanagement.Ontheonehand,theCompanycontinuedtodeepenthephilosophyoflean management, optimize the end-to-end operational system, establish commercial controlmechanisms,promotemeticulousmanagementandcoordinatedbusinessexpansion,achievecostcontrolandoperationefficiencyenhancement,andimprovethefinancingstructuretoenhanceassetoperationalefficiency.Ontheotherhand,theCompanyhasstrengthenedgovernanceacrossitsglobal operations by establishing localized decision-making rules, clarifying governanceresponsibilities, and improving overseas risk identification and process control systems. Byleveragingdigitalsystemstoadvancetheintegrationoffinancialmanagementbothdomesticallyandoverseas,theCompanysupporteditslong-term,steadydevelopmentthroughhigh-standardglobalresourceallocationandenhancedgovernanceefficiency.
④ As regards technological innovation, the Company advanced digital and intelligentempowermenttobuildgreenports.TheCompanyremainedcommittedtotechnology-drivendevelopment, actively exploring applications of cutting-edge technologies such as artificialintelligence,andfocusingonleveragingtechnologytoempowerindustrialupgrading.Firstly,theCompanysustaineditseffortstostrengthensystemresearchanddevelopment.AnewfoundationalversionoftheCTOSsystemhasbeenreleased,whichfeaturescapabilitiestosupporttheoperationsofsmall,mediumandmicro-scalecontainerterminals.RegardingtheBTOSproductforbulkandgeneralcargo,acontracthasbeensignedfortheSomaportterminalinMorocco.Secondly,theCompanysparednoefforttopromotesmartapplications.ShekouContainerTerminalhasrolledoutasmartyardplan,effectivelyreducingtherateofcontaineroverturns,whileMawanSmartPorthascontinuously optimized port operations, with the operation efficiency of autonomous vehiclesimprovingsteadily.Thirdly,greentransformationwasactivelypursuedwithMawanSmartPorthavingcompletedthefirstship-to-shipLNGbunkeringoperation.
⑤ IntermsofESGconstruction,theCompanyexploredcutting-edgeissuesandachievedexcellentresultsinratingimprovements.TheCompanycontinuouslyreinforcedtheintegrationof ESG into its operations and promoted the routine management of ESG issues.
